Portugal is an ancient European country set at the southwestern side of the Iberian Peninsular. From rolling plains, snow capped mountains to long empty golden beaches, with one of the best climates in Europe, from great food, to a fascinating cultural history and friendly people, Portugal has it all.
Most of the tourist areas are situated in the southern-most Algarve region. The Algarve enjoys the same beautiful weather as Southern Spain and retains many of the charms lost to the overly-developed regions of its neighbouring country. There are plenty of leisure activities available in the Algarve along with a modern European infrastructure and travel network.
